"New" Furninture!

I dont have much baby news right now. I am almost 7 weeks along. The baby's heart is beating almost twice as fast as ours beats, and it is developing limbs and facial features. I have not had any bad symptoms yet. I am able to eat almost anything, which I am so thankful for. I am praying that it stays this way. I am just reallly tired at the end of the day, which may be due to the fact that i have cut back significantly in the caffine intake! Another thinig is that my job has gotten a whole lot more stressful in the past few weeks. it has been really really tough. I am having a hard time being there. I could use A LOT of prayer in that area. I am unsure what to do about it. :(

When Rachel was in town a couple weeks ago, she and my dad helped me paint my bedroom furniture. i have hated the ugliness of the furninture for a long time, and either wanted to sell it or make it look better. So, i finally did! Here are some before and after pics.....
Drawers from the bedside tables...
.

And, the new bedside table all finished! :)

It feels good to restore something like this rather than throw away or spend lots of money on new stuff. we feel like we have a whole new bedroom! kind of nice!
hope you all are doing well. we love you!

sweet pea

I just got a little teary reading this....
Your Baby at 6 Weeks - Fetal Development
Fetal Development This Week

Week 6 of Pregnancy: Baby's Head Takes Shape

This week your baby's crown-to-rump measurement is anywhere from a fifth to a quarter of an inch, and growing — making it the size of a sweet pea (your little sweet pea!).

During fetal development, practitioners measure embryos as small as yours from precious little crown to cute little rump. That's because as your baby grows, his or her legs will be bent, making it hard to measure the full length of the body. When you are 6 weeks pregnant, your baby's crown-to-rump measurement is anywhere from a fifth to a quarter of an inch, and growing — making it the size of a sweet pea (your little sweet pea!).

So, if your womb had a view, what would you see? The folds of tissue in the prominent bump on top (the head) are developing into your baby's jaws, cheeks, and chin. And are those little indentations on both sides of the head the adorable dimples you always hoped your baby would inherit from your mom's side of the family? No, they're ear canals in the making. Small bumps on the face will form the eyes and button nose in a few weeks time. Also taking shape this week: your baby's kidneys, liver, and lungs.

Also, I have told my co-workers and boss this week about the pregnancy and everyone is super excited. Even one of the little boys in my class asked if he could talk to it. so adorable. so, he looked at my tummy, and said, "Hi Baby." I think my baby is going to come out wondering where all those kids are that he/she had been hearing for 8 months. Should be a fun few months to see how my little children will react to my growing belly! :)
